Every customer has a running balance. Send a polite WhatsApp reminder with the exact amount; when they reply “paid”, it’s settled.

Do I need to install an app?
No. SnapKhata is planned as a WhatsApp number you message, using WhatsApp's official Business Platform. You send photos and short messages the way you already do. A web view to see, edit and export your entries comes later.
Can it read handwritten and Urdu bills?
That's the goal: printed and handwritten receipts, in Urdu and English. When it isn't sure about a field, it asks you in the chat instead of guessing. We'll be testing with real receipts from markets before we build the full product.
What if it reads a number wrong?
Wrong numbers are worse than no numbers, so every entry is confirmed back to you ("Rs 12,450 to Al-Madina Traders, 3 Oct — correct?") with an easy undo. Totals are calculated by the database, never made up by the AI.
How do udhaar reminders work?
Each customer has a running balance. With one message you can send them a polite WhatsApp reminder with the amount due. When they reply "paid", the balance is marked settled.
Is my business data private?
Your entries and receipt photos are kept in private storage, used only to run your khata, and you can export or delete everything at any time.
Will it do tax filing, inventory or bank sync?
Not in the first version. Full double-entry accounting, tax filing, inventory and bank sync are out of scope for now. Multiple staff and branches are planned for later.
When can I use it, and what will it cost?
We are validating the idea first. A small group of shops from the waitlist will be invited to a two-week trial. Planned pricing is a free plan for 50 entries a month and a Dukaan plan around Rs 700 a month — not final.
